Redhook Treblehook Barleywine

From Redhook Brewing – “We wanted Treblehook to have all the classic barley wine characteristics,” said Doug MacNair, brewmaster for Redhook Ale Brewery. “We spent time getting the subtleties right, balancing the malts with a strong hop backbone to create Redhook’s take on the style.”
Redhook – Treblehook Barley Wine Ale – 22 o.z bottle poured into a goblet. 10.1% abv.
Appearance: Pours an orange amber with a thin layer of froth.
Aroma: Grapefruit, fruit loops and strawberry.
Taste: Citrus, chocolate, caramel, finished with slightly spicy hops.
Mouthfeel: Creamy and slightly fizzy.
Overall: A great, flavorful, balanced barleywine.
