Otter Creek Raspberry Brown Winter Ale

Submitted by Dan on November 30, 2009 – 7:55 am One Comment

Otter Creek Raspberry Brown Winter AleFrom Otter Creek - Otter Creek Winter Ale will be available this winter from November through January. The new special release is a smooth brown ale, with a touch of raspberry. Rich and toasty with a warming body and light hops, this will be a malty and perfectly fruited beer- very appealing and comforting. Just right for wintertime.

Otter Creek – Otter Creek Raspberry Brown Winter Ale – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. 6.8% abv. Thanks to Ray from MA.

Appearance: Pours a brownish red with small swirls of white looking from the top down.

Aroma: Smells like a cherry or raspberry tootsie roll pop.

Taste: A quick zap of burnt chocolate malt followed by tart raspberry and a touch of earthy hops in the finish. I get a lot of tootsie roll pop flavor as well. I’m not complaining either.

Mouthfeel: Perfectly carbonated, medium bodied.

Overall: Really tasty, and came off like a dessert beer in my book. This was my very first Otter Creek beer.
