dNew Glarus UnpluggedFrom New Glarus - A bold rich smoky nose is created naturally with a blend of smoked malts from Bamberg, Germany and Chilton, Wisconsin as well as robust Wisconsin Rye. Special Ale yeast ferments this hazy deep amber brew in the bottle. This is a big smoked beer fermented with Turbinado sugar and appropriate for sipping slowly today.

New Glarus Brewing – New Glarus Unplugged Smoked Rye Ale – 12 oz. bottle poured into a goblet. Abv. unknown.

Appearance: Pours a dark amber with only a frothy ring around the glass.

Aroma: Liquid smoke, bbq chips, brown sugar.

Taste: KC Masterpiece chips, very smokey malt and light caramel malt in the finish.

Mouthfeel: Full bodied with modest creamy carbonation.

Overall: Big smokey goodness.
