Full Sail Hop Pursuit

| July 27, 2010 | Comments (0)

Full Sail Hop PursuitFrom Full Sail – A crisp blonde extra pale ale with a medium malt body. The malts are chased by a ton of hop flavor and a zing of bitterness.

Full Sail Brewing – Full Sail Hop Pursuit – 22 oz. bottle poured into an English pint glass – 6% abv.

Appearance: Pours a hazy translucent amber orange with a big white sudsy head.

Aroma: Perfumy orange and grapefruit zest and oil.

Taste: Super bitter resinous hops, sturdy dry pale malt, spicy metallic yeast. Finishes with a slight twang and big abrasive bitterness.

Mouthfeel: Thin, fizzy, and juicy.

Overall: Not much different from Full Sail’s other special IPAs. It’s bitter, uses their usual yeast strain, and they stay away from the caramel malts, which I respect.  Definitely hoppy.
