BJ’s Grand Cru

Submitted by Dan on March 7, 2010 – 2:38 pm No Comment

From BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse – BJ’s Grand Cru – Silver Medal at 2002 Great American Beer Festival; Silver Medal at 2000 World Beer Cup

BJ’s Restaurant and Brewhouse – Grand Cru 2009 – From growler to goblet – 8.3% abv. A Seasonal from Jan to Feb.

Appearance: Pours a cloudy reddish gold with a small film of white for head.

Aroma: Floral, fruity yeast and coriander.

Taste: Fruity Belgian yeast, light spices, candi sugar, and spicy bitter hops.

Mouthfeel: Thick.

Overall: A decent attempt, but too sweet for my liking.
