Alpine Pure Hoppiness

Submitted by Dan on July 23, 2010 – 9:42 am No Comment

Alpine Pure HoppinessFrom Alpine – So mega-hopped it will take you to hop heaven. We’ve used hops in the boil, more hops in the giant hopback, and added to that, an incredible amount of dry-hopping for that cutting-edge “hop bite.” Once you’ve tasted this unique beer, all others pale in comparison. 1.072 OG Classified IBU 8%ABV

Alpine Beer Company – Alpine Pure Hoppiness – 22 oz. bottle poured into an English pint glass. 8% abv. Purchased at Whole Foods Market Pasadena, CA.

Appearance: Pours a clear amber gold with a dense 1/2 inch white head.

Aroma: Huge grapefruit, flowers and dank bud. Also a bit of spicy malt.

Taste: Big grapefruity hop, pine and spicy pale malt.

Mouthfeel: Medium bodied and fizzy.

Overall: An awesome glass of hop extract with fiz. Not very sweet, not very malty, just a ton of tasty hops. I love it!
