Congratulations New Glarus Black Top – Best Craft Beer of 2011
We asked our readers to vote for 2011′s Best Craft Beer and with a remarkable 20% of all votes, they answered New Glarus Black Top.
“A big Thank You! And a raised glass to The Full Pint and all our devoted fans for choosing Black Top the Best Craft Beer of 2011.
We are very surprised and a bit overwhelmed by the show of support from across the nation for a little brewery whose distribution is limited to “Only in Wisconsin”. The creative mind of Master Brewer Daniel Carey is responsible for this engaging brew. Intrigued by the debate regarding the Black IPA style, he searched the world over for the perfect hop varieties. Dan put his stamp on this style with a rush of soaring citrus and pine notes woven cleanly with black chocolate and molasses malt notes. Dan delivers a refreshingly drinkable 40 IBU Black IPA.
We are proud to focus the spotlight on the continuing innovation and proud brewing tradition of Wisconsin Craft Brewers. We are the state of Beer!
Cheers Dan and Deb Carey”
