Barrel Aged Speedway Stout Returns!

No, this is not a late April Fool’s joke! One of AleSmith’s rarest offerings, Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout, is now on tap for samples and growler fills from the brewery (growler fills are limited to one per person). Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout is the only North American beer to ever reach the number 1 position in the World on Ratebeer.com.

You’ll have to taste Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout in order to experience the wonders that Mother Nature has imparted to this Imperial Stout! Over 9 months in oak barrels adds the flavor and aroma of wood and rich vanilla that elevates the “Speedway experience” to new heights. Come in soon to sample and purchase growler fills of AleSmith Barrel-Aged Speedway Stout- better hurry though, it’s not expected to last for long!

AleSmith Real Ale Cask Events For April

Real ale from the cask has long been enjoyed in England, but has only recently found an audience here in America. AleSmith is proud to offer casks of real ale to a limited number of San Diego-area bars and restaurants. Real ale is naturally carbonated in the cask, which produces a creamy and smooth mouthfeel. The natural carbonation produces a mousse-like head on the beer that lasts to the final drop. Enjoy AleSmith real ale casks at the following venues:

O’Briens Pub in Kearny Mesa will be serving a cask of AleSmith Anvil ESB on Thursday, April 15th;

Hamilton’s Tavern in South Park will be serving a cask of AleSmith X on Friday, April 30th.
